I respectfully request approval to attend the Community Engagement Impact Conference 2027 (CEIC), a national virtual conference taking place in March 2027.
CEIC is designed for law-enforcement professionals responsible for doing, supervising, leading, and advancing community engagement. The conference will bring together practitioners, command leaders, researchers, community-engagement experts, and other professionals working to strengthen the way agencies build relationships, respond to community needs, and demonstrate the impact of their work.
Attending CEIC would provide me with a valuable opportunity to strengthen my professional practice, learn alongside colleagues from across the country, and examine our agency’s community-engagement work through a structured national curriculum.
Every attendee will complete the full CEIC Core Curriculum, consisting of four instructional tracks:
- The Engagement Architecture — Designing community engagement with purpose before the work begins
- The Evidence Standard — Determining what meaningfully demonstrates impact
- Trust Infrastructure — Building relationships and systems that remain after an event ends
- Institutionalizing Community Engagement — Moving engagement from a unit function to an agency-wide practice
Unlike conferences where attendees must choose between competing core sessions, CEIC is structured as one complete learning experience. Every participant progresses through all four instructional tracks.
The conference experience will also include keynotes, facilitated small-group conversations through The Tables, and intentional national networking through The Exchange. These experiences will provide opportunities to learn from other professionals, discuss shared challenges, exchange practical ideas, and develop relationships with practitioners performing similar work in other jurisdictions.
A particularly valuable feature of CEIC is its emphasis on application. Attendees are encouraged to bring an actual issue, event, concern, or challenge from their agency and apply the conference curriculum directly to that work.
Through my participation, I expect to return with:
- A broader understanding of emerging approaches to law-enforcement community engagement
- A stronger framework for designing and evaluating engagement efforts
- An initial action plan built around a real agency challenge
- Practical ideas that can support our agency’s community-engagement goals
- Connections with practitioners and professionals from across the country
- A certificate of completion

Registration Information
CEIC 2027 is a virtual conference, eliminating the airfare, lodging, transportation, and other travel expenses normally associated with attending a national conference.
The confirmed registration rates are:
- CEO Practitioner Network Member: $129
- Individual Registration: $229
- Agency Team Pass: $895 for up to five attendees
- Additional Agency Attendee: $179 with an Agency Team Pass
